
Ole & Mae (Olson) Olson
OLE OLSON (7/17/1876 – 3/12/1952)
Ole Olson was born near Cashton, WI, son of Carl and Maren (Pedersdatter Benerud) Olson. He was baptized at North Coon Prairie Lutheran Church and confirmed with the first confirmation class of the newly formed Immanuel Lutheran Church on October 26, 1890 near Cashton. He attended the Woodard rural school. On July 11, 1903, he married Mae Camilla Olson (1884-1965) at Immanuel (Moen) Lutheran Church. Their wedding party consisted of Olga Olson, Caroline and Martina Olson, Christian Olson, George and Jorgen Moen. They farmed at Cashton until 1950, when they moved to Westby, WI.
Ole and Mae Olson had eleven children: Ellen Marie (1903-1904); Nora, Mrs. E. J. Schaffner (1905-1972); Ellen Cecelia; Olga, Mrs. Leroy Tryggestad (1909-1961); Martin (1911- 1979); George; Agnes, Mrs. Lloyd Peterson; Immanuel; Alice, Mrs. Kenneth Volden; Walter; and Orlando.
Homestead / Location Information
Ole and May’s home farm is just south of Immanuel Lutheran Church, just east of County Road PC. It is also just north of the old Anton Benrud farm, and Maren and Carl Olson’s home farm. The old address was Rural Route 3, Box 17; the current address is 8778 Odin Ave, Cashton, Wisconsin.

Ole and Mae are buried at Moen Cemetery.
