MARTINA OLSON OLSON (2/22/1881 – 12/24/1960)
Martina Olson was born near Cashton, WI, daughter of Carl and Maren (Pedersdatter Benerud) Olson. She was baptized June 5, 1881 in North Coon Prairie Lutheran Church, and confirmed April 19, 1896 in Immanuel Lutheran Church. She attended the Woodard rural school. She married Olaf Olson on August 30, 1935 and they lived in the Cashton area.
Martina (54) and Olaf Olson (71) were married at the Parsonage in Westby. The wedding was recorded in Moen Church records. Ken and Esther Flugstad were the attendants. This “wedding picture” of Olaf and Martina was taken a year later on Aug. 30, 1936. In Martina’s autograph book the following note appears. “Westby, Wis. Aug. 30, 1936 – Dear Martina; Don’t forget the 30th of Aug. 1936, when you had your wedding picture taken by Mr. (John) Rundhaugen. Sincerely Lydia Rundhaugen.”
Homestead / Location Information
Martina and Olaf Olson lived at 205 Davison St. Westby, Wisconsin. Martina also lived in a little house beside a road going west of Immanuel Lutheran Church. The road was called “Ford Avenue” at that time. The current address is 7911 Oboe Avenue.

Martina and Olaf are buried at Moen Cemetery.
