CHRISTIAN OLSON (4/1/1885 – 1/17/1970)
Christian Olson was bom near Cashton, WI, son of Carl and Maren (Pedersdatter Benerud) Olson. He was baptized in the North Coon Prairie Church and confirmed at the Immanuel Lutheran Church near Cashton. He attended the Woodard rural school. In November 1915, he married Nora Brettingen (1894-1974). They first farmed near Cashton, WI. Then they moved to Broderick, Saskatchewan, where Chris farmed the rest of his life.
Chris and Nora Olson had seven children: Muriel, Mrs. Bert McBride; Reuben; Verna, Mrs. Gordon Devitt; Harvey; Helen, Mrs. Edward Gerrish; Nordis, Mrs. Donald Lindholm; and Irene, Mrs. Charles Fawcett. They were married 54 years.

The land location of Chris and Nora Olson’s farm was located 8 miles south of Broderick, Saskatchewan along Range Road 73 in the Rural Municipality of Rudy No. 284 and the land location of the Yard Site was the NE 1/4 of Section 4 in Township 28, Range 7, West of the 3rd Meridian.

Chris and Nora are buried at Old Country Coon Prairie Cemetery.
