Edward and Sophia Olson
SOPHIA ANDERSON OLSON (1/4/1875 – 1/31/1966)
Sophia Ann Anderson was born at Sparta, WI, daughter of Lars and Lena (Pedersdatter Benerud) Anderson, and moved with them to Ventura, IA. She attended Concord School #1, and was confirmed in Ellington Prairie Lutheran Church. She worked as a seamstress at Ventura until her marriage to Edward M. Olson (1870-1950). They farmed in the Ventura-Garner area and later retired and moved to Ventura.
Sophie and Ed Olson had four children: Esther, Mrs. John Anderson; (1897-1985); Lulu, Mrs. Peter Julsen (1900-1973); Emmet (1907-1946); and Milford (1912-1965). They were married 55 years.
